In May/June 2006, I attended a performacne poetry course - called Sparks - organised jointly by Apples & Snakes and Spread the Word. During the course we were set challenges and,as a result, wrote poems which were different from what we might have written previously.

At the end of the course, eight of the class performed to an invited audience on 29 July 2006, and each delivered a set of approximlately 10 minutes of material. These are the poems I delivered that evening
